Anne Mania has been practicing law for over 20 years in both state and federal courts, and at the trial and appellate level. Anne spent the first ten years of her legal career as a civil-rights litigator. In 2017, she transitioned into family law and joined The Wald Law Group as a senior associate focusing on divorce and custody matters. Since 2021, Anne has run her own practice, where she focuses on family law, serves as a coach for parties in high-conflict cases, and mediates divorce and co-parenting issues.

Anne serves as a settlement officer in San Francisco Family Court and regularly volunteers to assist unrepresented parties in Alameda and San Francisco County Courts. She is a certified mediator and coach for parents in high-conflict cases.

Anne is a member of the First District Court of Appeal’s appointed-attorney panel and has handled more than 70 delinquency and criminal appeals in the First District, as well as one case before the California Supreme Court. (See published opinions in In re C.B. (2018) 6 Cal.5th 118, In re D.B. (2018) 24 Cal.App. 252; In re O.D. (2013) 221 Cal.App.4th 1001.) She has also represented numerous clients in family-law appeals.

Anne is a member of the Family Law Executive Committee of the Bar Association of San Francisco and the Family Law Section of the Alameda County Bar Association. She is also an active member of Collaborative Practice East Bay.

Anne is admitted to practice in all federal and state courts in California.

When she is not working, Anne enjoys cycling, hiking and soaking up the last minutes at home with her teenage sons.
